Dr. Vinod Patil
Dr Vinod Patil is a Consultant Anaesthetist with a particular interest in anaesthesia for plastic and general surgery, obstetrics and paediatrics. He was trained in the Cambridge rotation for anaesthesia across all surgical specialties. His passion for post graduate training led to his appointment as college tutor by the Royal College of Anaesthesia (RCoA) for postgraduate training in anaesthesia and critical care (2014 – 2016). He was also appointed as Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London for Undergraduate education (2013). In addition he is an Examiner at the General Medical Council for Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board test (PLAB).
Dr Patil has authored more than 30 international publications in Anaesthesia and his academic work has contributed to the development of evidence based practice which has enhanced patient safety and developed the skills of Postgraduate and undergraduate doctors. Dr Patil been awarded four clinical excellence awards at his NHS hospital for his dedication to patient safety and the highest standards of care he provides.
Dr Patil’s private practice is focused mostly in and around Harley Street, London where he prides himself on thorough pre anaesthetic assessment and meticulous planning of care. Dr Patil understands taking the time to explain and reassure his patients before the anaesthetic is integral to his care and the patient receiving a positive experience, as a result of this attention to detail. Dr Patil frequently receives exceptional patient satisfaction feedback which comments on his ability to reassure his patients and to provide excellent pain relief with minimal postoperative nausea and vomiting.
