The London Transgender Clinic understands that it is not only transgender/non-binary individuals that will be going through a transition on their journey to achieve lasting contentment within their gendered self. Friends and family are also on this journey and adapting to changes such as pronouns, names and personalities as the individual begins living as their true self.

This can result in a wide range of conflicting emotions from happiness to sadness, shock, confusion, and even grief.  It’s important to know that these emotions are normal and valid.

To help you navigate these, we recommend scheduling an appointment with Ms Laura Scarrone, Gender Specialist Clinical Psychologist,  who has extensive experience in supporting children, young people, families and friends to better communicate and understand each other through this journey.

To book an appointment email Laura on [email protected] or if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team.
