At The London Transgender Clinic, we specialise in rhinoplasty or nose surgery for female feminisation surgery patients. Generally, male noses tend to be larger and wider than the standard female nose. Rhinoplasty in male to female transgender individuals can include reducing the size of the nose, narrowing the bony nose and nostrils, together with refinement and lifting of the nose tip, to create feminisation of the nose.
Reason for Surgery
The goal is to soften and refine the nose to give a more feminine appearance.
This result can improve self-confidence and boost self-esteem, allowing you to feel more comfortable in your female gender.
How much does rhinoplasty cost?
The price of rhinoplasty, nose job, is approximately £5,600. This includes all of your pre and post-operative aftercare up to one year, as well as your time in the hospital. If you require additional correction to the nose, for example, straightening secondary to breakage, this can be provided at an additional cost. For an exact quotation please book a consultation with a member of our team.
What happens at the consultation?
You will meet your surgeon and one of our nurses who will ask you about your goals and concerns. A full medical history and examination will be done, before agreeing on a plan for you and discussing the surgery and recovery and risks in detail.
You may be required to undergo medical investigations such as blood tests, ECG, or other, as medically advised by your surgeon.
How do I prepare for my nose surgery?
Once you have your consultations and your surgery is booked, you will have a pre-operative assessment with your nurse 2 weeks before surgery, during which any outstanding questions will be answered. Your preparation for surgery will be reviewed and information will be provided regarding medications, diet, and post-operative care.
You will not need to stop your hormone therapy.
You must stop smoking a minimum of 2 weeks before your surgery and up to 12 weeks postoperatively.
What happens on the day of my nose surgery?
On the day of your surgery, you will attend the hospital where your surgery is taking place. You will be reassessed by your surgeon and your anaesthetist before going to the theatre. The hospital team will complete the necessary pre-operative health checks.
Following your surgery, you will be bed-bound and closely monitored by the hospital medical team. They will assist you with anything you need. You will be tired and spend most of this time resting. You will be provided with something to eat when you are alert and slowly mobilised with assistance.
Once you are awake and mobile, you will be discharged from the hospital to your home. You must have a chaperone to bring you home and stay with you for a minimum of 24 hours.
What aftercare will be provided for me?
LTC provides a premium aftercare service. You will be assessed 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months, and 1-year post-operatively to monitor your progress.
You will be provided with post-operative manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) therapy to reduce swelling and promote better healing.
LTC also has a nurse on call 24/7 in the event you have any emergencies following discharge from the hospital. You will be seen immediately if medically required or appropriate advice will be provided.
What happens if there is a complication?
In the event of a complication, you will be medically assessed as soon as possible by your surgeon or a qualified member of our nursing team. In the unlikely event you need to return to the theatre this will be arranged for you by our team. Hospital and anaesthetist fees may be charged, however there will be no surgical fee. Further information is outlined in our terms and conditions.

I had a Rhinoplasty, brow bone contouring, and chin reduction surgery procedures. Upon meeting both Dr Inglefield and his team of Nurses, I instantly felt at home, they are all so lovely and kind, with positive attitudes all around. Dr. Inglefield has really made my face look so natural and feminine, and since the surgery, my confidence as a person has really boosted. The procedures were cleanly carried out with no visible scars and barely any pain at all.
The hospital (Hatfield) was fresh and clean with great service, making my stay as comfortable as it could have been.
Overall the service I have received so far has been of an extremely high quality, and I’m loving the results I can see so far.
