Generally male faces are more angular, square in comparison to female faces, who have softer features. Female to male transgender individuals may find the fat distribution on their faces change with hormonal therapy, however to achieve more masculine features, dermal fillers are used to augment tissues impacting facial shape, contours and definition. Frequently treated areas are the brow, nose, chin and jawline.

FAQS

  • How much does it cost?

Cost will vary depending on the volume of filler required to achieve your goals. A consultation is required to identify the volume of filler required. See our price list for details of price per ml. For an exact quotation of how much you will need, please book a consultation with a member of our team.

  • What happens at the consultation?

Our initial consultations are carried out remotely. You will meet your treatment provider who will ask you about your goals and concerns. A full medical history will be completed, before agreeing a plan for you and discussing the treatment, aftercare and risks in detail. Following this, you will receive a quotation for the treatment recommended.

  • How do I prepare for my treatment?

Initially you will be asked to complete our terms and conditions and pay the full amount for the treatment quoted, when scheduling your treatment date.

On the day of your treatment, please ensure you have eaten prior and do not drink alcohol on the day of your treatment.

Other than this, look forward to your treatment!

  • What happens on the day of my treatment?

You will be welcomed by our friendly reception team, who will check you in to your appointment. At the time of your appointment, a member of the team will escort you to our treatment room where you will be greeted by your treatment provider.

Your treatment provider will go through the goals of your treatment and remind you of the risks involved prior to proceeding. Topical anaesthetic may be applied to the treatment area for several minutes to make the filler injection more comfortable.

Following your treatment you will be able to go home, return to work or alternative activities immediately excluding exercise for 48 hours.

  • What aftercare will be provided for me?

You will be provided with one review as part of your treatment package.

LTC also has a nurse on call 24/7 in the event you have any emergencies at home following your treatment. You will be seen immediately if medically required or appropriate advice will be provided.

  • What happens if there is a complication?

Dermal fillers are highly biocompatible with the skin, so adverse reactions are minimal. Each dermal filler has specific advantages in different areas of the face so the most suitable product for you will be tailored to your aims.

In the event of a complication you will be medically assessed as soon as possible by your surgeon or a qualified member of our nursing team and a treatment plan will be recommended.
