At The London Transgender Clinic, hairline lowering is a common procedure during facial feminisation. A high forehead that is out of proportion with the other facial features is considered a masculine feature. It can be corrected by hairline lowering, forehead reduction plastic surgery, which can alter the balance of the upper third of the face to improve facial balance and enhance the feminine appearance.
Reason for Surgery
The goal is to provide a more proportionate forehead and feminine hairline shape.
This result can improve self-confidence and boost self-esteem, allowing you to feel more comfortable in your female gender.

8 days ago I had my first ever facial cosmetic surgery – an upper lip lift. I was of course nervous about the pain and the end result, but all I can say is I need not have worried. There was swelling for a couple of days but this quickly subsided leaving me with a really nice shape to my upper lip, and as for the post-operation scar…. what scar?! It’s barely visible already.
I am now hugely looking forward to my hairline lowering and brow contouring in a few weeks’ time now I’ve seen what a fantastic job Chris and the team of nurses Laura, Sinead, and Natalie do. Amazing.
