At The London Transgender Clinic, we offer chin reduction or contouring as a facial feminisation. Chin reduction/shaping improves facial balance by reducing the prominence or shape of the chin. It is performed by reshaping the front of the mandible and is used to reduce the typical male chin which is larger, more square with prominent corners.
Reason for Surgery
The goal is to provide a suitable projection of the chin, as well as the correct height of the chin which is in balance with the other facial features, while also creating more feminine proportions.
This result can improve self-confidence and boost self-esteem, allowing you to feel confident in your female gender.

How do I prepare for my surgery?
